                                          The first fifteen years...

Founded in 2001, The Cram Guitar Ensemble has performed successfully in numerous competitions and festivals over the years, played for some of Nevada’s highest ranking leaders and public officials, been featured on local TV several times, performed for the NMEA state convention three times as well as the state PTA convention, won $5000 in a “battle-of-the-music-groups” competition, and won a “Wal-Mart Teacher of the Year” award for the director, Quint Olsen. In 2015 the ensemble had the opportunity of being part of the ensemble showcase for the Guitar Foundation of America regional symposium in Las Vegas. As the only middle school group showcased, the ensemble shared the stage with three of the best high school guitar groups in Clark County and such college guitar groups as USC, Cal State-Fullerton, and Loyola-Marymount. Alumni of the Cram Guitar Ensemble have gone on to perform in the best high school and college guitar ensembles in the state.  The program is now being directed by Mr. Mark Schell.
